Family Services, Inc., is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3)
organization serving Forsyth, Davie and Stokes counties in North
Carolina since 1905. Working together with individuals and families,
we offer a full range of services including counseling, education,
intervention, and advocacy.
Family Services, Inc., is the primary provider of Head Start services
to children and families in Forsyth County. In addition, we are
also the primary provider of domestic violence programs in the
county which includes a shelter for women and their children.
Accreditation and Certification
Quality assurance to clients is backed up by extensive national accreditation processes (Council on Accreditation of Services for Families and Children; Head Start Program Performance Review) and state licenses (NC Dept. of Health and Human Services; NC Day Care Licensure). Our staff is highly qualified in their fields and counseling staff are master-level degreed, and certified or licensed by North Carolina in their respective fields.
Confidentiality
Personal privacy is a primary concern. Confidential information is released only with a client's consent or when required by law.
Fees
Counseling fees, when charged, are based on a client's ability to pay, except for court-related programs. No fees are charged for many services, including most victim assistance counseling, pregnancy counseling, all crisis and help lines, and Head Start.
Funding
Family Services is funded by a variety of sources including area United Ways; federal, state, and county governments; client fees; foundation grants; and contributions from individuals, churches and other organizations.
