Suicide Prevention
For more than three decades, CONTACT HOPELines have provided free
and confidential telephone crisis intervention services to our community.
CONTACT's trained volunteers provide immediate, confidential one-on-one
answers and crisis prevention. More than 95% of callers last year
received a listening ear and were provided the appropriate intervention
to deal with anxiety, relationship problems, loneliness, depression
or suicide.
Life offers us many opportunities to be sad, depressed or lonely.
Many times, we don't know what to do or to whom to turn to for advice
or support. Many fear that if they share their most intimate thoughts
with their friends, their confidence will not be kept.
CONTACT offers free, confidential, anonymous listening and support
during times of distress. Whether you are lonely, thinking about
suicide, a victim of violence through domestic violence or sexual
assault, we are here for you. We will listen to your concerns and
help you think through your options. Trained volunteers await your
call.
