Domestic Violence Services
If you are a victim of Domestic Violence, you are not alone. Four million women are physically abused each year and many more suffer emotional abuse from their partner. National studies show that in 85-95 percent of domestic violence cases, a woman is abused by a male partner. However, we know that men and those self-identifying as LGBTQI/ same sex relationships are also victims of relationship violence; so we're available to offer services to all victims. Domestic violence crosses all boundaries of gender, race, ethnicity, culture, profession, income level, religious affiliation and geographic location.

Sexual Assault Response
Sexual Assault is a broad category that includes any sexual behavior against another person that is forced, coerced or manipulated, such as: rape, child molestation, incest, and same-sex assault. Perpetrators of sexual assault may be friends, family members, acquaintances, significant others, marital partners, strangers or people in positions of power. Sexual assault is a crime of violence and is not motivated by sex, but an intent to inflict violence and humiliation on the victim and to exert power and control over his/her body. Our dedicated volunteers and staff can help victims in a variety of ways; from immediate response to advocacy needs, we are here to help. Click here for more information.

Child Maltreatment
Vantage Pointe Child Advocacy Center was established in 2000 by Family Services to provide a child and family-friendly facility to those impacted by child maltreatment. Prior to the establishment of the Center, children suffering from maltreatment had to recount and relive their ordeals several times. The Center developed a system consisting of community agencies involved in the prevention, investigation, prosecution and treatment of child victims and their families. Click here for more information about Vantage Pointe Child Advocacy Center and the programs offered.

Relationship Intervention for Abusers
Family Services has been conducting Time-Out, a batter's intervention program since 1985. Time-Out is a state certified, psycho-educational program that addresses issues regarding abuse and control in relationships. The program aims to confront the abuser as to his/her level of responsibility for the abuse; address underlying attitudes that support abuse; examine and change beliefs about relationships; and teach non-violent ways of dealing with interpersonal conflict.
