Domestic Violence Services
If you are a victim of Domestic Violence, you are not alone. Four million women are physically abused each year and many more suffer emotional abuse from their partner. Help is available. National studies show that in 95 percent of domestic violence cases, a woman is abused by a male partner. However, we also know that men are sometimes victims of relationship violence; so we're available to offer services to all victims. Sexual Assault Response
Sexual Assault is a broad category that includes any sexual behavior against another person that is forced, coerced or manipulated, such as: rape; child molestation; incest; same-sex assault. It does not have to involve the use a weapon. Perpetrators of sexual assault lmay be friends, family members, acquaintances, significant others, martial partners, strangers or people in positions of power. Sexual assault is a crime of violence and it has nothing to do with sex. It is a crime committed to inflict violence and humiliation on the victim, or to exert power and ocntrol over the victim and his/her body. Our dedicated volunteers and staff can help victims in a variety of ways. From immediate response to counseling needs, we are here to help. Click here for more information.
Child Advocacy Center - Vantage Point
Vantage Point Child Advocacy Center was established in 2000 by Family
Services to provide a child and family-friendly facility to those
impacted by child maltreatment. Prior to the establishment of the
Center, children suffering from maltreatment had to recount and
relive their ordeals several times. The Center developed an intervention
system consisting of multiple community agencies involved in the
prevention, investigation, prosecution and treatment of child victims
and thier families. Click

Advocacy Center and the programs offered.

Time-Out Abuser Intervention Services
Family Services has been conducting Time-Out, a batter's treatment program since 1985. Time-Out is a state certified, psycho-educational program that addresses issues regarding abuse and control in relationships. The program aims to confront the abuser as to his/her level of responsibility for the abuse; address underlying attitudes that support abuse; examine and change beliefs about relationships; and teach non-violent ways of dealing with interpersonal conflict.
