Family Services of Forsyth, Stokes, and Davie NC Counties

The Ways to Work Program assists low-income families by providing small, low-interest loans for car purchases or repairs. This allows parents to stay on the job, even when faced with unexpected challenges.

The purpose of a Ways to Work loan must be transportation-related, such as to buy or repair a vehicle in order to keep a job.

Eligibility Requirements for Ways to Work Loan

	Resident of Forsyth County
	Employed 20 hours per week for the last 6 mohths
	Has physical and legal custody of a minor child
	Has exhausted other loan sources
	Has sufficient disposable income to repay the loan
	Household income does not exceed certain limits

Applicant Requirements

	Application process
	Financial Literacy/Auto Maintenance classes - 2 classes offered per month. Check events for the next available class.
	Repayment of loan within 2 years
